Medical Technicians

EKG technicians perform electrocardiograms, which record the heart’s electrical activity. EKGs detect irregularities in the heart’s rhythm and diagnose potentially dangerous cardiac or vascular conditions.

Patient Care Technicians must possess the technical skills necessary to service complex patient personal care issues including the implementation of selected portions of a specific care plan that may include rehabilitation services, basic bedside care, collection of laboratory specimens, Phlebotomy, and EKGs.

Phlebotomy technicians are healthcare assistants that take blood from patients to check for specific medical conditions. Working under the supervision of other technicians or laboratory managers, they help physicians diagnose patients.
