Privacy Policy

The American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group Inc. (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates ahdpg.com (the “Site”) and provides related education, training, certification, and healthcare documentation related services (collectively, the “Services”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site and from individuals who enroll in or sit for our training programs and certification exams.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Site and Services, as well as in follow‑up to any inquiry or enrollment placed by you. By using the Site or Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

While using our Site or Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, telephone number, email address, program enrollments, exam registrations, and related information (“Personal Information”).

We use this information to operate and support our training programs and certification exams, respond to inquiries, process enrollments and payments, deliver course content and assessments (which may be hosted by third‑party platforms such as ClassMarker for online exams), and communicate with you about your participation.

Remote Exam Proctoring and Video Monitoring

For certain assessments, including selected certification exams, AHDPG may deliver exams online using a third‑party testing platform that provides automated exam‑proctoring features, such as browser monitoring and webcam‑based image capture.

When these proctoring features are enabled for your exam, the platform may:

Monitor your browser activity during the exam (for example, detecting when you open new tabs, switch applications, or exit full‑screen mode).

Access your device’s webcam to capture periodic still images of you during the exam session and, when required, a photo of your government‑issued or school identification document for identity verification.

These images and related monitoring logs are linked to your exam attempt and are used solely to: verify your identity, promote academic integrity, investigate suspected cheating, and protect the security and validity of AHDPG assessments. They may be reviewed by authorized AHDPG personnel and by authorized personnel of the exam platform or its sub processors who require access to administer, support, or review the exam.

Proctoring images and logs are stored in the exam platform’s secure environment and are treated as part of your educational record. We do not sell or use webcam images, ID photos, or proctoring logs for advertising or other unrelated purposes. We retain proctoring data for no longer than three (3) years after the exam date, unless a longer period is required to resolve an investigation, appeal, accreditation review, or legal obligation; after that, records are securely deleted or de‑identified in accordance with our record‑retention practices.

By registering for and starting a remotely proctored AHDPG exam, you acknowledge that your exam session may be subject to browser monitoring and webcam‑based image capture as described in this Privacy Policy and in our applicable exam rules and Student Handbook. If you have questions about proctoring or require an approved accommodation that affects proctoring (for example, limitations on camera use), please contact us before your scheduled exam at [email protected].

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available from that provider. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
