Barton Community College is a comprehensive community college serving Rice, Rush, Ellsworth, Stafford, Pawnee, Ellis and Barton Counties. The Barton/AHDPG partnership includes the following programs:
The Medical Scribe Professional Training Program is designed for individuals new to healthcare or those individuals looking to augment their knowledge in the areas of Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology. This comprehensive program provides training in Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology before presenting each candidate with the Medical Scribe practical training necessary to function as a high performing medical scribe professional.
The Medical Scribe for Practicing Allied Health Professionals Training Program is designed for individuals with at least two-years of healthcare experience. This expedited program starts from the vantage point that each candidate is already well-versed in Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology. This program is designed specifically for practicing, Medical Assistants, Medical Transcriptionists, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Translators, Technicians, etc. A typical candidate for this program will score 80 or above on the Medical Scribe Readiness Assessment.
Graduates of either program are prepared to sit for our Medical Scribe Certification Exam upon successful completion of their program.
